Sydney is a world renowned center of commerce, entertainment, culture, education, arts, music, fashion and tourism. As of 2006 there were over 4.1 million people living in Sydney. Over 3.6 million people living inside the urban area. 31.7 percent of Sydney?s population were born abroad. 1% considers itself to be of indigenous origin. The top three countries where people have emigrated from are China, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Other countries include, Lebanon, Italy, India, the Philippines and Vietnam.
